Ayurveda is an ancient Indian philosophy that applies a holistic approach to restoring balance to mind, body and spirit through treatments and the use of plant-based products. It is designed so that healthy people can stay healthy and folks with health challenges can improve their health. In Ayurveda we view a person as a unique individual made up of five primary elements. The elements are ether (space), air, fire, water, and earth. Just as in nature, we too have these five elements in us. When any of these elements are present in the environment, they will in turn have an influence on us.

Shirodhara
Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda treatment that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead (the ‘third eye’). The word shirodhara breaks down into two ideas: “shiro,” meaning head, and “dhara,” which means flow. Together they form a concept that aims to bring physical and emotional balance by rejuvenating the spirit and preserving health. This is achieved through a relaxing technique in which warmed oil is poured over the forehead, nourishing the hair and scalp while relieving stress and tension in your head and neck. A great addition to any other body treatment!

Experience a continuous stream of warm oil flowing over your forehead, not only awakening the third eye and crown chakras, but also stimulating cognitive awareness and inducing calm and serenity. This treatment nourishes the hair and scalp and relieves stress and tension in your head and neck. A great addition to any other body treatment!
Udvartna
The Udvartna treatment exfoliates the skin and stimulates muscles throughout the body to promote better blood flow and circulation. Enjoy a notably rejuvenating and stimulating massage and body scrub with a warm herbal exfoliating paste followed by a warm water rinse that will leave your skin looking fresh and vibrant. The treatment ends with a wonderfully relaxing warm oil massage called Abhyana.

Ayurvedic Facial Therapy
The goal of Ayurveda was never intended to be cosmetic but rather transformational. This therapy provides a sense of serenity to both body and mind which can be seen radiating from the face. Alternating sequences of facial massaging, steaming, cleansing and moisturizing as well as hand, foot, head and neck massage create what is considered one of the most powerful treatments in Ayurvedic therapy.
